The reason behind the name seeing is believing
“There is a giant asleep within every man.
When that giant awakes, miracles happen.”
Frederick Faust
Have you ever heard someone say, “I’ll believe it when I see it?” Seeing is believing! That’s what we’re told. Did you realize this is true for everything you hope to accomplish as well?
“The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen.” ~ Frank Lloyd Wright
“If you want to reach a goal, you must “see the reaching” in your own mind before you actually arrive at your goal”
~ Zig Ziglar
“In the province of the mind, what one believes to be true either is true or becomes true.” ~ John Lilly
Athletes visualize their routines time and time again outside of actual practice, and research shows that their muscles tense and fire, much as they would if the athlete was physically practicing. The same has been found with pianists who are “remembering” (actively visualizing) a piece of music. There is a prevalent theory which says the subconscious does not truly differentiate between what is real and what is imagined. Yet, even knowing this, most of us tend to replay over and over again in our mind’s eye exactly what we DON’T want.
We curse ourselves for mistakes while “remembering” (reliving) the mistake over and over again. Many spend time worrying about what might happen which helps draw the thing “worried about” (visualized in advance) toward you.
The title of this blog is seeing is believing; believing is achieving — because it’s so true! I want more of us to start to see the success they want in life. I want all of us to receive whatever is ours by divine right (though I will not use this blog to advocate any religion).
And as it is greater to give than receive, I will share what uplifting thoughts I can and whatever help I am able to give in supporting you creating the correct thoughts, actions, and mental pictures so you can achieve something wonderful.
Namaste!
