I love this post Sibba, because it is so true. I know that for me it took a lot of hard work, struggle and sacrifice for many years before I became willing to look at the beliefs that drove my behaviors about money and the attainment of it. In the past several months I have begun to do my best to eliminate the factor of money when it comes to what I want in life. The apparent lack mentality tend to shut the door of the imagination and doesn't allow one to see past the limitation it really is........
I just like to think back to when I was a little girl..before the concept of money was an idea I would state what I wanted and in some way shape or form I always got what I wanted!

Mighty Morgan's last blog post..Woot! Woot! Here comes the link love train.

"before the concept of money was an idea I would state what I wanted and in some way shape or form I always got what I wanted!" Personally, I think that's just the way to do it! One of today's big problems is the focusing on the money instead of on the thing(s) desired. Best to figure out what you want and do what you can to bring it about and leave the rest to a higher power.

Thanks for the comment!

Hey Sibbia - thanks for the post. We all know about the abundance mindset, b ut it's so hard to keep up. Your reminder is beautiful and very timely.

Cheers,
Albert | UrbanMonk.Net

Greetings, Albert! It really *can* be difficult, but that's because we don't make it a long-standing habit. Two weeks or so ago, Philadelphia had its first snow fall. A light dusting coated the ground and more fell from the heavens as I trudged home that night. I started to complain about the undeniable coming of winter when I stopped and smiled remembering the story of a person who decided her favorite season was always the one we're in. I took a new look at the extremely thin layer of snow, and it was beautiful!! Everything glittered and sparkled like diamonds! I looked up and saw that the snow also twinkled and glittered in the light of the street lamps on the way down.

I threw back my hood and tilted my face upward. Smiling, I allowed myself a moment to revel in the unexpected abundance that was raining down on me.

A brief thought and a new pair of eyes turned the cold that I always hate and complain about, invigorating, and the snow into diamonds.

Now as a perfect ending to the story, I received a surprise check two days ago. It wasn't a large check, but it was just what I had been thinking I needed. That could have been a coincidence, or due to other work I've done at some other time, but since I don't know, I prefer to think of it as a sign that I'm on the right track.

The point of the story? Such small things can change your life.

I always want to correct/suggest to people when I hear them say, 'I can't afford it' to RATHER say, I CHOOSE not to at this time. It's a whole different sense of control.

Hi C! For some reason, your comment needed moderation, strange! Anyway, the "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" book tells us something very similar. I need to read that book again (or another good one on the subject). We could probably all stand to read it once.

Faith, moves mountains...yea!

Catherine's last blog post..Another Common Household Chemical to Avoid

For some reason that saying always makes me think about someone sitting cross legged in front of a mountain praying and occasionally shaking his fist :) I used to have a locket however in which I placed a couple of mustard seeds to remind me how simple the requirement was.

" You are never given any (righteous ) desire, without also being given the means to achieve it' This means, you have to work for it! I get a kick out of how so many think it should be easier to have their hearts desire.... Lovely post Sibbia, lovely....

Aren't we told that anything worth having is worth fighting for? My degree, any spiritual progress, even creating a blog worth reading, take time and effort! I think that mindset is a product of our "more, better, faster!" society. Apparently it's also too hard to bake a cake from scratch (so I'm told).
